Fire to open 2014 season March 9 at Chivas
The Chicago Fire will open the 2014 MLS season March 9 at Chivas USA, with their home opener set for March 23 against the New York Red Bulls.The Fire will make 13 national TV appearances spread over five networks: NBC Sports Network (four games), ESPN (one), ESPN2 (two), Univision Deportes (one game) and UniMas (five games). The regional TV schedule will be released later.
Since 1998, the Fire are 4-5-5 in season-opening road games. They are 9-4-3 in their home openers.Here is the Fire's 34-game schedule:
