Florida OT Tyler Moore breaks arm in scooter accident
Tyler Moore is reportedly the ninth Gator to suffer a season-ending injury since August. (USATSI) When it rains, it pours, they say. And what's happening with Florida and the Gators' injury list is a deluge of near-biblical proportions.
Will Muschamp's staggering run of bad injury luck continued with the Wednesday morning news that starting offensive tackle Tyler Moore had broken his arm in a scooter accident and will miss the remainder of the season. From the Twitter account of Tampa Bay Times preps reporter John Cotey:
Former Countryside star and current #Florida #Gators OL Tyler Moore is in surgery. Broke his right arm last night, scooter accident.

Tyler Moore, 6-5, 320 pounds, lost control of scooter on a wet sidewalk. Routine surgery, some pins, probably. 2 years remaining at Florida.

Muschamp confirmed the injury at his Wednesday morning teleconference, saying Moore had suffered a compound fracture of his right elbow.
A transfer from Nebraska, Moore is a native of Clearwater, Fla., in the Tampa area. He had started several games at right tackle for the Gators before moving over to left tackle against Georgia in the wake of the sprained MCL suffered by D.J. Humphries.
With Moore out for the rest of the season, he becomes the ninth Gator lost to a season-ending injury since the beginning of fall camp and the sixth starter, joining Andrew Debose, Jeff Driskel, Dominique Easley, Matt Jones, and Chaz Green. Moore would also be third starting offensive tackle injured this season, joining Green and Humphries.
Per GatorBait.net, starting left guard Max Garcia will take over for Moore at tackle, with with Kyle Koehne or Ian Silberman moving into the lineup at guard.
There won't be much time for the new lineup to adjust; the Gators host Vanderbilt Saturday, and with both South Carolina and Florida State looming on the schedule, a loss could doom the 4-4 Gators to their first losing season since 1979.
But the guess here is that if it's been 34 years since Florida finished below .500, it might be even longer than that since they've had to deal with a plague of injuries quite like this one.
