Asian stocks were mostly higher Wednesday as U.S. stock futures fell slightly.
Japan's Nikkei 225 closed up 1.2% to 14,180.38 after dropping 4.2% on Tuesday.
On Wall Street, stocks have rebounded after their worst decline in seven months on Monday. On Tuesday, the Dow Jones industrial average gained 0.5% to 15,454 while the broader S&P 500 rose 0.8% to 1,755. The Nasdaq composite rose 34.56 points, or 0.9%, to 4,031.52.
TUESDAY: Stocks up after worst February start since 1933
Wednesday stock futures for the major U.S. indexes edged lower.

In energy trading, benchmark U.S. crude for March delivery was up 46 cents at $97.65 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract gained 76 cents to close at $97.19 on Tuesday.
