Ryan Getzlaf was a surprising scratch prior to Game 4 in Dallas with an upper-body injury but he was back for Game 5 in Anaheim.

The Ducks captain took part in the team's morning skate but still wasn't sure if he would be in the lineup as he was awaiting clearance to play from whatever injury he was dealing with (potentially related to his face and the jaw guard he has worn since the end of Game 1). He then was on the ice for warmups and everything was a go.

So Getzlaf was in the starting lineup.

Getzlaf is their most important player, more than just their captain. He led the Ducks in points and is a do-everything kind of guy. He helps make Corey Perry so effective and in Game 4 they absolutely missed him in a lot of situations.

However the news wasn't all good on the official lineup sheet. Defenseman Hampus Lindholm missed Game 5 with a stiff neck that stems back to Game 4.
