'You're Stealing It': Kevin Spacey Calls Out House Of Cards Piracy In India
By Deepika Rajani On April 28, 2014
Kevin Spacey got more than he bargained for when he attended the International Indian Film Awards in Florida and found out that fans of House Of Cards in India were watching the show without having access to Netflix.
With Netflix being the only way fans of the show - which sees Spacey play the role of Francis Underwood - can watch it, the actor allegedly told reporters at the prestigious awards ceremony that fans in India were 'stealing' it.
He is reported by the AFP to have told the media: 'House of Cards is really big in India, I discovered.
'Except isn't it funny that Netflix doesn't exist there yet. Which means that you're stealing it.'

Whilst the actor may have been a tad unhappy with the piracy of House Of Cards, Spacey spoke highly of Bollywood films and supported the need for the films to appeal to a wider audience in America.
According to the AFP, the Hollywood star said it would be good to 'bring our cultures together, because very often we can achieve things culturally that we can't politically.
'More and more people in the United States are becoming aware of Bollywood films. I want to go to India to make your culture even more aware of theater because theater is not as big there as film is.'
