Verizon LG G2 Android KitKat Update Still MIA
Despite massive competition from the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One (M8), the LG G2 is still managing to hold its own as a hugely popular device. There's talk that the South Korean tech firm may be looking to advance the launch of the LG G3 in order to eliminate any chance of falling behind, but in the meantime there's good news for existing G2 owners or those considering investing in one.
As predicted, the LG G2 Android 4.4 KitKat update is well and truly making its way out into the wild, breathing new life into the firm's flagship we keep forgetting is not much more than six months old. However, as is also predicted and proved correct with worrying regularity, there's still one distinctively red carrier that's falling behind its rivals and seems in no hurry to rush Android KitKat to LG G2 owners.
We are of course talking about Verizon Wireless.
It was way back in February that the LG G2 KitKat upgrade was first made available by AT&T, which was a welcome early-rollout considering LG's promise of a March launch. T-Mobile got on-board very soon after and as if to prove a point, Sprint managed to get its own LG G2 KitKat update out before the end of March - albeit on the very last day of the month.
So the March deadline passed and still no word from Verizon, which is every bit as annoying for subscribers as it is unsurprising.
We'll have our ears to the ground for any and all updates as they're made available.
