'Bachelorette' Andi makes her final decision!

Chris Harrison promised a 'dramatic ending' that we wouldn't see coming on Monday night's Bachelorette finale.

Bachelorette editors had been teasing us, leading us to believe that Andi Dorfman might not - gasp! - wind up engaged to anyone. She might not pick Josh OR Nick!?

So what happened?

Well, here's how it went...

Chris Harrison told us right off the bat that she did, in fact, pick one of the guys, because the other one has been trying desperately to see her ever since. He tried to see her when she was vacationing in Mexico, but she refused to talk to him. And he tried to confront her during the Men Tell All taping and she refused him again!

Whaaaat?

Cut to the Dominican Republic and Andi looking pretty in a red maxi dress.

Nick: He's the first to meet Andi's parents. He seems nervous around Andi's mom, Patti, and her dad, Hy. Her sister, Rachel, is there, too. As they sit down to eat, Nick thanks them for 'the most wonderful girl I've ever met in my life.'

To Andi's mom, he says he 'loves' Andi a lot. 'I love her in a way I never thought I'd love someone,' which makes Patti get teary.

Andi tells Rachel how passionate Nick is and that he 'sees' her soul. Andi gushes on and on about Nick.

And then comes the talk with dad. Nick tries to explain why he's so crazy about Andi. 'I know your daughter's it for me. I told her a couple weeks ago, 'I'm going to marry you.' ... I would really like your permission to do that.'

Hy responds with, 'In our family, commitment's for life. If the two of you decide to be together, I think you'd be a great fit. And if you choose each other, that'd be wonderful.'

Hy confesses to cameras, 'I could definitely see him as a son-in-law.'

Whew. Nick is happy.

On their final date, Nick and Andi hop in a Jeep to do a little off-roading. And kissing. They stop for a picnic under the trees in a nice private spot. Nick recounts his meeting with her parents and making mom Patti cry. 'Awwww,' says Andi.

Nick confesses that he's 'ready to propose to Andi but I don't know how she feels about me.' He plans to try to find out later. 'Because if I don't know it's me, we're not getting engaged.'

Later, they toast each other. 'I love when you ramble,' says Andi, trying to find out what's on his mind.

'I'm just nervous,' he says. 'I want to get engaged, I do, but I've been in that position before and I do remember like that morning, thinking something wasn't right. I know no matter what, if this wasn't a totally weird thing, there's still be excitement and anxiety, but I don't want to be wondering.'

'I get it,' says Andi. 'It's gonna be alright. It is.'

He takes that to mean she wants to get engaged. 'She's given me all the signs. I appreciate that. I do.'

Then he gives her a necklace. It's from the beach where he first told her he loved her and filled a little vial with sand from that beach.

Says Andi to the cameras, 'Nick is basically everything I've been looking for in a man.'

Josh: Andi tells her parents that he's 'totally my type,' but she wants to see what he thinks.

Hy laughs about how 'nervous' Josh seems when he walks in the door to meet the family.

Andi tells Rachel that she was skeptical of Josh at first, but he kept coming through for her.

Josh tells Hy how 'gorgeous' and 'unbelievable' Andi is. He says, 'I have a forever kind of love feel, that's how I feel about her.'

Josh says he '100%' feels that Andi loves him, too.

Hy tells Josh, 'The feelings are either there or not. And I have complete faith' in Andi to make a decision. 'You have my blessing. The only one you've got to worry about is her.'

Hy tells cameras, 'I can definitely see Josh as a son-in-law.'

Josh is so happy.

Andi says she still has 'this fear.'

They go on a final date on a yacht. They kiss and smile. (We were all waiting for Josh's tank top to get it's own Twitter feed.)

But Andi confesses things like, 'Is this all too good to be true?' And, 'I always have fun with Josh. Josh has a great way of calming me down and just make me feel giddy inside.'

Josh says Andi makes him smile 'all the time.'

Later, sporting salmon-colored pants, Josh cuddles with Andi on a couch and pledges his love to her. She says, 'Gosh, I spend more time thinking what could go wrong than what could go right.' He gives her a baseball card with 'fun facts.' She loves it.

'It's been such a long journey,' he says. They smile at each other and smooch.

But she says one more time that she's worried 'it's just too good to be true.'

Pre-final rose ceremony drama:

Andi has 'made her decision' and now comes the tough part - kicking one of them to the curb.

Before she takes her final place awaiting her guys, she confesses to the cameras that she has so much passion with/for Nick. And with Josh? Well, she has kept 'pushing him away,' but he kept coming right back.

We see Josh pick out a big sparkling diamond ring with Neil Lane.

And then we see Andi knock on Nick's door! Uh oh.

'I wanted to come chat,' she says. '... and I woke up this morning and didn't feel that something was right. And I can't go through with something that I don't think is right. The feeling is not right.'

Nick looks away. 'Honestly, the last date, I wanted to just have fun and relax, and hard as I tried I couldn't do that with you. ... with you I overanalyze everything,' Andi tells him. 'A life with you would be overanalyzing every single moment.'

He wonders how she could have looked at him and reacted as she did when he said he loved her and have these feelings now. 'I took it that you meant it.'

'I did mean it,' says Andi, crying. 'Every time I kissed you, I did mean that.'

He asks if this is about 'someone else,' and she says, 'I'm sorry.'

'Wow, that's so (messed) up,' says Nick. 'When we were in the water, I had just told you I loved you and you said, 'I wish I could say things back.'' He adds, 'I just hope you're a million percent sure.'

She leaves and it begins to rain! Right on cue.

The proposal:

Nick packs up and leaves, throwing the blackened roses he had saved from throughout the season into the trash. In the car ride to the airport, he just shakes his head. 'She obviously has feelings for Josh. ... I was just so confident in what we had.'

Josh is wearing a suit that's too tight. He's busting out of the jacket.

'You look beautiful, stunning,' he tells her.

'When I decided to give up my first love baseball it was because there was a greater love that existed somewhere ... a love that you read in books and people sing in songs. I just didn't know if I would find that kind of love. ... Andi, you are the woman of my dreams. ... I see a woman who I want to give the world to. ... '

Andi says, 'Wow. Definitely been a journey, more than I ever anticipated, more than I ever expected... It has been a struggle for me, a challenge, and the truth is that from the first time I met you I was scared. ... Josh I loved you since the moment I laid eyes on you. ... I love you. I'm madly in love with you. You're it. You're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. You're the one I want to have babies with.'

And then he got down on one knee, 'Will you marry me?'

'Yes!' she said. And then they let loose, really kissing and hugging. He picked her up and carried her off. 'Babe, I love you,' she said, 'Forever. Best day of my life so far.'
