Cardinals CB Peterson agrees to 5
The Cardinals and cornerback Patrick Peterson have agreed to a five-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday night on its Twitter account.
The extension will pay Peterson $70 million over five years with $48 million guaranteed.
The negotiations between the team and Peterson's agent Joel Segal have been ongoing for months. Peterson is the first member of the 2011 draft class's first round to receive an extension.
