Dareus on sidelines after failing conditioning test

Published:

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) - Pro Bowl defensive tackle Marcell Dareus did not pass all of the Bills' conditioning tests this weekend, which is why the team placed him on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

Dareus, who is facing charges in two separate off-the-field incidents this offseason, did not join the team on the field for practice tonight.

'I just think right now he needs to focus on getting himself ready, getting in shape, getting on the field and focusing on football,' said head coach Doug Marrone.

'He's not the only one, but obviously you want your players to come in ready to go. We're here for a long period of time so we'll make up for it,' said Marrone.
