By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief In the worst possible blow to the UFC's debut card in Mexico, UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez has suffered a knee injury, taking him out of the UFC 180 main event. Mark Hunt will step in to fight Fabricio Werdum in an Interim UFC Heavyweight Championship bout. The news was first reported as a possibility by Gabriel Morency on Twitter, with Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole passing along news of the nature of the injury. UFC 180 is the UFC's first ever trip to Mexico, and will have competition that night from both Bellator and the World Series of Fighting.Penick's Analysis: The absolute worst thing that could have happened to this card. The Velasquez-Werdum fight was the one bout holding UFC 180 as the event to watch, and now that it's a replacement main event and a weaker than many pay-per-view card, it means more and more fans will skip the pay-per-view card to watch one of the free offerings available that night. Just an awful blow to this card, the heavyweight division, and the UFC for that night. [Cain Velasquez art by Grant Gould (c) MMATorch.com]
