Cowboys, unbeaten since loss to 49ers, win at Seattle

SEATTLE - Those questioning whether the Dallas Cowboys ' start this season is legit got a resounding answer Sunday.
Not intimidated by Seattle's hard-hitting defense or the noisy 12th Man, the Cowboys leaned on 115 yards rushing from DeMarco Murray and clutch passing by Tony Romo to defeat the Seahawks 30-23.
Dallas is 5-1 for the first time since 2007, having lost only its opener to the 49ers.
The victory was magnified by the 10-0 first-quarter deficit the Cowboys faced after Doug Baldwin blocked a punt and Mike Morgan returned it 25 yards.
'Guys aren't going to back down,' Dallas head coach Jason Garrett said. 'We have the right kind of guys on this team.'
The Cowboys held Seattle's Russell Wilson to 14-for-28 passing for 126 yards, 53 of those coming on a pass to Jermaine Kearse in the first quarter. Seattle, outgained 401-206, had only nine first downs. Cal alum Marshawn Lynch ran only 10 times for 61 yards, and Percy Harvin 's three receptions equaled minus-1 yard.
'We couldn't get into a rhythm and I don't know what it is,' said Baldwin, who went to Stanford. 'We had penalties. We just left so many plays out there on the field.'
After Murray's 15-yard run with 3:16 left gave Dallas a 27-23 lead, the Cowboys held twice to seal the victory, once on downs and then on Rolando McClain's interception. In between, Dan Bailey 's third field goal made it 30-23.
Murray and Jim Brown are the only NFL running backs to start a season with six straight 100-yard rushing games. Murray got his 115 against a defense that had not allowed a back more than 38 this season.
The second of Romo's two touchdown passes went to Jason Witten, who became the second tight end in history with 900 receptions.
When Romo got pressured on Dallas' winning touchdown drive, Terrance Williams made a stunning toe-dragging catch along the sideline for 23 yards to convert a 3rd-and-20.
'If he throws it up, I'm trying to gain his trust, so I'm going to catch it regardless,' Williams said.
Runs of 25 and 6 yards by Murray set up his go-ahead 15-yard score on which he cut back and rolled through Earl Thomas at the goal line.
'I think our team now understands that we do a lot of things pretty well,' Romo said, 'and I think we have the ability to kind of impose yourself on other teams.'
