'Fast & Furious' fans got their first glimpse at 'Furious 7' when the action-packed trailer debuted Saturday.
Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Jason Statham and Tyrese Gibson attended the trailer's premiere in a live event held in southern California and live-streamed online.
Before the clip debuted, the movie's stars paid tribute to late co-star Paul Walker, who passed away in a car crash one year ago. The actor died while shooting was underway, and his brothers Caleb and Cody stood in for him so filming could be completed.
'It was unanimous across the board that the most important thing was to honor my brother Paul and his legacy,' Diesel said.
'When you think of family, you think of 'Fast & Furious,' he added later. 'We lost such a special person, a special angel ... and (Walker) allowed for us to have a multicultural brotherhood and family. '
The trailer itself heavily features the late actor, beginning with a thrilling opening sequence that sees several cars fly out of an airplane and hit the ground to chase after a semi-trailer.
Walker executes a stunt that seems him jump from the hood of his car into the back of the truck, and then later escape the falling semi as it falls off the clip.
Statham, who had a cameo in the prior 'Fast & Furious' film, also features prominently, serving as the main villain in the seventh installment of the blockbuster franchise.
The trailer also served up the usual mix of high-speed car chases and fight scenes, while also highlighting the crew's tight-knit bond.
Prior to the trailer's world premiere, Diesel was asked what he thought after seeing it for the first time.
'To be honest, I thought it was the best trailer I'd ever seen,' he said.
Rodriguez only had one word to describe her thoughts about the trailer.
'Car-gasm,' she said, smiling.
'Furious 7' premieres April 3, 2015.
