"Luke I am..line?" Original Darth Vader Has Dementia.

If you clicked on this article expecting to read about James Earl Jones having dementia, I'm sorry for misleading you.

James Earl Jones

Though James did voice the original Vader in episodes 4-6, it was David Prowse inside of that probably pretty uncomfortable space suit.

Gah! This thing is SERIOUSLY chaffing!

David Prowse, a British actor known for terrorizing his children Luke and Leia, has revealed recently that he would love to return as Darth Vader in the new films, but he's afraid that his dementia would let him down.

The 79 year old veteran actor came out about his condition for the first time, saying he would love to join his pals Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill , Carrie Fisher and his other original 'cast-mates' for the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, but says 'I'd forget my lines'. He also talks about how it wouldn't matter to him the significance of the role, saying 'I would have loved to have done something in it - even if it was just a cameo.'

I would have loved to see David in this photo

David has been taking medications to try and battle the dementia symptoms. Though his condition is real, he hasn't been just sitting around all day. David recently revived his role of the Green Cross Code Man, a character created in Britain to promote road safety.

You still got it Dave!

According to David however, he can barely tell he's demented at all. 'I don't feel in any shape or form like I am demented - I'm not staggering around.' David says. Only those around him really notice it he also says. It's nice to know that despite his health, he's still going strong and not giving up! David's right up there with Stan 'The Man' Lee of motivational elders who prove that you can do anything you set your mind to; age is but a number!

Unfortunately, even if David did feel himself able enough to don the dark mask again, Darth Vader is dead. But it still would have been amazing to see him in a cameo, a flashback or anything else Darth Vader related! Who knows, maybe he will reprise his world famous role one day! Only time will tell!

For now, I hope David gets all the supports he needs. And I'm sure he's battling his dementia strongly! But what else would you expect from the powerful Sith Lord himself?

Menacing!
