Auburn had the worst five minutes of the college football season

Auburn tripped at the finish line in a loss against Texas A&M that will likely end their playoff hopes. It was one of the wildest finishes to a game we've seen this college football season.

At halftime, Auburn was trailing Texas A&M 17-35, but charged back to find themselves down 38-41 to find themselves on the goal line in position to take the lead late in the fourth quarter.

Then disaster struck.

Nick Marshall and Cameron Artis-Payne made a mess of the hand off on an option play. It looked like Auburn would get it back after an A&M defender couldn't to hold on to it, but the ruling on the field was an Aggies recovery.

Auburn eventually got the ball back, but then the Tigers' center bungled the snap and Nick Marshall failed to recover.

We'd say that the postseason picture is looking pretty grim for Auburn, but after this loss, there likely isn't a post season picture at all.
