Channing Tatum Talks Using Drugs While He Was A Stripper, Calls Divorce ...

So we all know that Channing Tatum used to be a stripper...

But what we don't know is what actually went on behind the scenes while he was a stripper. The actor opened up to all this and more in his interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The 34-year-old stripped down and opened up about his past drug use, his marriage to Jenna Dewan, and his plans for the future.

Now, before we get to the serious stuff. How delicious is Channing Tatum though on the cover of this issue!

So, besides stripping down for women and getting paid, the Magic Mike XXL star's life as a dancer was filled with drugs and alcohol abuse.

I wouldn't say I was losing myself in drugs because I wasn't doing anything habitually. Just experimenting. Experimenting, I would say. Never the big ones - crack or heroin. I never OD'd or anything. Never.

OK, but what about cocaine?

Maybe a couple times, but that was later. Drinking was probably the biggest [thing]. I didn't look at drinking as a problem. It wasn't at that point, and I still don't think it's a problem. But at that time in my life, it was, 'Let's go out and have a great time.'

In GQ's June 2014 cover story, Tatum said he was a 'functioning alcoholic.' He clarified what he meant by that.

It was something said that wasn't meant to be factual. It was said in context with the glutton side of myself. I'm constantly a flip-and-flop of extremes. I take care of it, to an extent-and then I kind of knock it all down and destroy the sand castle. All I meant was that I do things in extreme.

He recalls one of the weirdest and most terrifying moments as a stripper.

The lady goes, 'Oh my God! Look at you! You remind me of my nephew!' - and then grabs me. It hit me like a hand grenade. It was like tick, tick, tick, boom: She's grabbing my butt and saying, 'You remind me of my nephew.'

I wonder if that's what made him quit the strip club life and become an A-list actor! If it is, props to that weird woman!

Now, the actor is happily married to his wife of five years and starring in Oscar-buzzing films, including perhaps Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight. There have been tabloid rumors that the couple were getting a divorce recently though. Not just any divorce, but a $50 million divorce. Channing said:

It's all bulls-t. These people just [make it up]. Some of our family members don't see [it's not true], and they read a stupid thing and don't understand it's a tabloid.

The couple are even thinking of moving from Hollywood Hills and relocating to Ojai, California.

I don't think very, very soon, but it really depends if Jenna's show [Lifetime's Witches of East End] gets picked up for a third season. Then we would probably wait. I would be immensely happy. I just love the country.

Jenna's show didn't get picked up for a third season, so we might be seeing a second Tatum offspring very soon!
