Nike Inc.'s much-delayed new LeBron James basketball shoes will be released Dec. 1, the company said in a new timetable on its website.
The Nike LeBron 12 NSRL shoes will appear two months after their original scheduled launch in China and roughly eight weeks after they were to become available worldwide.
The company last month said the launch would be delayed because of a small cosmetic issue.
Nike has produced a signature line of sneakers for James - now a Cleveland Cavaliers forward - each year he has played in the NBA. The latest model marks his 12th season in the league. The company produces the shoes in various colors for release at different stages throughout the year.
With retail sales of LeBrons topping $300 million for the year ended in February, James' signature line of Nikes is the best seller among active players, according to industry tracker SportsOneSource.
Nike didn't respond to a question asking for more clarity on the cosmetic issue delaying the initial launch.
