Kim and Kanye name new home after Downton Abbey property
Brampton Guardian
Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West have named their new home after the property from 'Downton Abbey'.
The loved-up couple - who wed in Florence, Italy in May, and have one-year-old daughter North West together - have named their new Los Angeles home Highclere Castle, which is where the programme is filmed, because they want their home to mimic the property's opulence.
An LA insider told The Sun newspaper: 'Kanye loves calling Kim 'lady'. He basically thinks he's an even cooler version of Lord Grantham.'
Kim, 34, and her 37-year-old beau have been constructing their new 1,050 sq ft home for several months and will finish off the property by erecting a sign proudly declaring the house's name.
The source continued: 'He wants the home to resemble Downton in its grandeur and 'regalness' and there will be a sign naming it Highclere Castle.'
The pair have previously gushed about the Julian Fellowes-produced show, with Kim declaring in September that she is desperate to have a cameo.
She told The Sun newspaper: 'I'm a big fan. I'd love to be on it if they asked. I love things like that.'
