Cowboys among six teams that will play in London in 2014
The NFL is exporting America's Team to London next season.
The Dallas Cowboys will be among the participants in the league's International Series, which will feature a record three games in London in 2014.
The Cowboys will play the role of visitors to the Jacksonville Jaguars, whose Floridian fans will now have to wait another eight years before the Cowboys return to northern Florida (assuming the Jags haven't relocated to the United Kingdom as has been speculated). The Jaguars agreed last year to play one home game in London every year through 2016 beginning this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
'Our fans in the UK continue to demonstrate their passion for more football,' NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Thursday.
'Next year for the first time we will play three regular-season games in London. We have scheduled three attractive games with four teams playing in their first International Series game. The growing enthusiasm for the NFL internationally is exciting and we look forward to continuing to respond to this interest in our game.'
Also at Wembley Stadium next season, the Atlanta Falcons will 'host' the Detroit Lions, and the Oakland Raiders will 'host' the Miami Dolphins, the home team for the first regular-season game at Wembley in 2007.
The dates for next year's games won't be determined until the spring.
