Drake Cancels Second Show Of His New Tour... One Hour After It Was Due To ...

By Jason Chester On October 20, 2013

A scheduled concert by rapper Drake was left in disarray over the weekend when he was forced to pull out - almost an hour after it was supposed to start.

Eager ticket-holders were originally admitted to Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Saturday (Oct' 19), but later informed that he would not be taking to the stage.

The disappointing news came some 60 minutes after the venue had filled with the Canadian rapper's fans, with many later airing their frustration on Twitter.

A statement has since attempted to explain the no show, which they claim was caused by a technical issue.

'Due to the elaborate nature of tonight's show and an unexpected technical issue, Drake's 'Would You Lie A Tour' concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia has been postponed until Wednesday, December 18,' said spokesperson Rebecca Goodman.

It's understood that tickets and parking receipts from the cancelled show will be honoured at the rescheduled event in December.

Drake's tour kicked off in New York City with a show at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Friday (Oct' 18).

The Pennsylvania gig was to be his second, but with the show rescheduled he will resume his tour a little closer to home with a performance in Montreal on Monday (Oct' 21).
