Parking lot attendant accused of stealing $225000 from Eagles player
Todd Herremans reportedly had the money stolen over three years.
A parking lot attendant who watched over vehicles belonging to Philadelphia Eagles players at the team's hotel is being accused of stealing over $225,000 from offensive lineman Todd Herremans according to Philly.com.
Federal prosecutors say Robert Von Ryan, 37, entered the vehicle of a player later identified as Herremans and stole documents that contained Herremans' checking account information. Over the course of three years, Ryan transferred $225,034.52 from Herremans' account to his own, U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger said.
In 2005, Washington Nationals players had their cars broken into while they were on a road trip. The cars had been parked at RFK Stadium, but only items from the vehicles were stolen.
Von Ryan faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine if convicted.
