Redskins Edge Bears In Shootout
LANDOVER, Md. -- Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler left Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury after being slammed to the ground hard on a sack by Chris Baker.
Cutler suffered the injury with 10:09 remaining in the second quarter. During the play as Baker swung Cutler to the ground, it appeared the quarterback's lower body came down on top of the defensive end's knee.
As Cutler lay on the grass writhing in pain, the Bears' medical staff quickly came onto the field to examine the quarterback.
Cutler eventually walked off the field limping under his own power, and the team's medical staff immediately walked him into the locker room for X-rays.
Prior to the injury, Cutler had completed 3-of-8 passes for 28 yards, including an interception returned 29 yards for a touchdown by Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo.
