September jobs report will be released Oct. 22
List shows September employment report will be released at 8:30 am ET on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Late Thursday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics updated its website with a revised schedule for economic reports that were postponed during the 16-day government shutdown.
Probably the most market-sensitive of those reports is the September employment report, which had been originally scheduled for release on Friday, Oct. 4, It will now be released on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
The release of the October employment report has also been pushed back by the shutdown, according to the revised schedule. Instead of being released on the first Friday of November, this year it will be released a week later on Nov. 8.
Widely followed reports on inflation are also rescheduled: The September consumer price index report will be released on Wed., Oct. 30 and the September producer price index report will be released a day earlier.
The revised schedule lists 24 economic reports and a new release date for 9 of the reports. Release dates for the others are 'being planned,' according to the updated schedule.
