iPads Popular on Black Friday; Patron Ejected Over Google Glass; Cyber ...

Happy Cyber Monday! If you were too busy eating leftover turkey to check out the tech headlines over the long holiday weekend, here's what you missed.

Online shoppers are certainly eager to pick up deals this year, with comScore reporting $1.198 billion in desktop e-commerce sales on Black Friday alone. Apple's iPad was atop many shoppers' gift lists, but the Microsoft Surface, Kindle Fire HD tablet, Xbox 360, Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, and various big-screen TVs were also popular among Black Friday shoppers, according to stats from InfoScout.

Meanwhile, the online deals are just getting started. Amazon is shaving $50 off two of its Kindle Fire tablets for Cyber Monday. The 16GB Kindle Fire HD is now $119, down from $169, while the new 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX is $179, down from $229. The deal runs through Cyber Monday, though Amazon did say in its release that it's available 'while supplies last.' In non-shopping news, a Seattle restaurant that has banned Google Glass ejected a patron for wearing the futuristic specs. 'We kindly ask our customers to refrain from wearing and operating Google Glasses inside Lost Lake. We also ask that you not videotape anyone using any other sort of technology,' the restaurant said. The customer in question, however, said that the restaurant's aversion to Glass is peculiar given that its menu encourages patrons to 'post photos on our website via Instagram by using #LostLake.'
