If you haven't checked in on CBS' The Price Is Right in a while, you may be in for a shock. The stakes on the daytime game show have been raised considerably.
On Monday, the show gave away its most valuable prize ever -- a $157,300 sports supercar, according to CBS. Sheree Heil from Tacoma, Wash., goes wild when she picks the correct amount in a game called 'Gas Money' and wins the Audi R8 Spyder. It comes with a V-8 engine and Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive.
As host Drew Carey declares her the winner, Heil takes a couple victory laps around the stage, hugs the model and climbs into the passenger seat of the shiny black convertible. At least her enthusiasm mirrors the value of the prize.
And you thought daytime game shows were still more apt to give away more average cars, like all those Pontiac Grand Safari station wagons back in the 1970s? How far they've come.
