Carly Rae Jepsen Sets Broadway Debut in 'Cinderella'!


Carly Rae Jepsen is set to make her Broadway theater debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, the New York Times reports.


The 28-year-old entertainer tweeted the news to her followers with the caption: 'Dream come true~'


Carly will step into the title role on February 4 for a twelve week run, joining Fran Drescher, who will take on the role of Cinderella's evil stepmother.


'It was essentially musical theater training with studies in singing, dancing and acting,' Carly Rae said about her musical theater training after high school. 'My favorite part of the school year was our trip to New York, where we met Broadway performers and toured the theaters.'


'It's so hopeful and inspiring,' Carly Rae added about her debut. 'I've always been one to believe in the impossible, so I relate to her character completely.'
