A Division 1 basketball team won a game by 104 points

The Southern University Jaguars bounced back from losses to mighty Arizona and Baylor by beating the Champion Baptist College Tigers by 104 points Monday night. The Tigers, from Hot Springs, Arkansas, play in the Association of Christian College Athletics, and have lost three other games this season against D1 opposition by huge margins. Southern opened the game with a 44-0 run.

Champion Baptist, founded in 2005, is an extremely small school. USA TODAY Sports writer Dan Wolken, from Hot Springs, Arkansas, has never heard of the Tigers.

Here's how obscure Champion Baptist College is: It's in the town where I grew up (Hot Springs, Ark.) and I've never heard of it.- Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) December 31, 2013
