Real 'Wolf of Wall Street' Jordan Belfort looks to reality TV for next venture
Jordan Belfort is the man that inspired Leonardo DiCaprio's character in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and is now looking to star in his own reality TV series.
Jordan Belfort may currently be the lead character played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film 'Wolf of Wall Street,' but he's got his sights set on reality TV.
'I knew without even seeing a picture of him that he could be a talent both behind and in front of the camera,' Electus CEO Chris Grant told The Hollywood Reporter about Belfort's bid for a reality series.
Grant is the force behind reality shows like 'Fashion Star' and 'Mob Wives.'

Together Grant and Belfort have worked on a reality television show that will highlight the former Wall Street shark's 'unique set of business skills.'
The 51-year-old financial swindler served 28 months in prison for scamming investors out of millions and is now reportedly a successful motivational speaker. The reality series will focus on Belfort's journey to help others who have hit rock bottom and are seeking redemption, according to THR.
Thus far, the pitch has supposedly been received well although it has yet to be picked up by a network.
'(Belfort) was described to us after leaving the room as 'TV gold,'' Grant said was a TV exec's reaction after meeting with them about the series.
