It's believed the Detroit Tigers are done upgrading position playerson their roster for 2014 and that they are still interested in adding a relief pitcher or two.

Enter right-handed pitcher Joba Chamberlain, who agreed to a one-year deal with the Tigers, according to several media reports.

TRADE: Cubs, Marlins swap players

Chamberlain's career ERA is 3.85, including 3.51 out of the bullpen, but he has struggled out of the bullpen the past couple seasons with the New York Yankees. He posted a 4.93 ERA in 45 relief appearances last year with a 1.74 WHIP. He also allowed eight home runs.

He also has an injury history; Tommy John surgery ended his 2011 season, then a dislocated ankle while jumping on a trampoline in March 2012 kept him out until Aug. 1 of the same year. Chamberlain spent much of this past May on the disabled list with a right oblique strain as well.

The Tigers have already added closer Joe Nathan and lefty Ian Krol to their bullpen this year after losing Joaquin Benoit to free agency and Drew Smyly, who's moving to the starting rotation.
