Lorde Breezes Through Seasons in 'No Better'

Lorde Breezes Through Seasons on 'No Better'

Lorde is keeping the momentum going: the 17-year-old New Zealand singer today posted a new song, 'No Better,' that picks up where her debut Pure Heroine left off.

Her feathery voice floats over a minimal electronic beat that blooms into a pulsing synth between verses and on the chorus. The lyrics are both girlish and knowing as Lorde celebrates an infatuation that deepens as the seasons change.

Where Does 'Pure Heroine' Rank on Our 50 Best Albums of 2013 List?

It's been quite a 2013 for Lorde: Pure Heroine climbed to Number Three on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and 'Royals' topped the Hot 100 singles chart. She also recently picked up four Grammy nominations: Pure Heroine is up for Best Pop Vocal Album, while 'Royals' is in the mix for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Solo Pop Performance.

She's already working on material for the follow-up. 'I've been writing but I haven't really had time to hit the studio as of yet,' Lorde told in Sydney, Australia. 'That'll be the end of this year, or next year.'
