VIDEO: Family raps about 'Christmas Jammies' in holiday video

A North Carolina family has made a video Christmas card to let people know their updates in the past year and to show off their new Christmas jammies.

The family - Penn and Kim Holderness of Raleigh, N.C. and their children Lola, 6, and Penn Charles, 3 - rap their 'Christmas Jammies' song as a parody of Will Smith's 'Miami.'
The video was done to promote the family's video production company, The Green Room. It also allowed Penn to publically announce he was resigning his position as a television news anchor in Raleigh, business partner Sharon McCloud told the Daily News Tuesday.

The family does make good use of its time in the 3:38 video, letting people know of its recent developments. Some of the highlights: the family had a new red Prius, Lola can count to 100 in Chinese and Penn Charles only wears shirts with superheroes on them. The parents also had parts in 'Iron Man 3.'
No topic is off limits in the video including Penn's recent vasectomy.

The family wears their red pajamas- with red-and-green-striped pants and shirts with their names on the front - around Raleigh. They created their own '#xmasjammies' hashtag.
'We know we look ridiculous, that's why no one will dance with us,' Penn Sr. throws down.
McCloud said the family is definitely going over the top on purpose.
'It's completely tongue in check,' she said. 'There are quite a few YouTube comments like, 'Are these people serious?' We're like, no, we don't take ourselves seriously. We're totally making fun of ourselves and of traditional Christmas cards.'
