Jordan Hamilton to Rockets for Aaron Brooks
The Rockets have traded Aaron Brooks to the Denver Nuggets for Jordan Hamilton, a person with knowledge of the deal confirmed. The trade was first reported by Yahoo Sports.
Brooks is averaging 7.0 points and 1.9 assists for the Rockets this season. He is their third point guard.
Brooks would have had to approve the deal. Brooks is in his second tour with the Rockets. The guard played for the Rockets from 2007-10 and was the team's leading scorer in the 2009-10 season with 19.6 points per game. Brooks is one of Houston's fan favorites and said Tuesday that he was happy to be in Houston.
Hamilton is averaging 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season for the Nuggets and has started in 11 games.
Hamilton played two seasons at Texas before entering the NBA draft in 2011.
