MLB Network host predicted Mike Trout would drive in Jeter with triple

Prior to Tuesday's MLB All-Star game, MLB Netowrk host Greg Amsinger spoke with Angels outfielder Mike Trout on the MLB network Red Carpet Show.

Amsinger: It's going to be awesome man when you drive in Derek Jeter in his final All-Star Game tonight. That's going to be so cool. Trout: That would be sick. Amsinger: Right? he's going to be at second base. You'll hit a rope down the line. You'll end up at third. He's going to tip his cap to you. it's going to be cool, right? Trout: Yeah, that's going to be special.

And what do you know? J eter hit a lead off double in the first inning and Trout stepped up and belted a shot to deep left field. He wound up at third, and Jeter scored.

You can't make up stuff like this.
