$90 million winning Powerball ticket sold in Colorado


DENVER - A winning Powerball ticket worth $90 million was purchased at a Kum & Go store located at 120 E. 26 th Street in Rifle, the lottery announced.


The ticket holder won the jackpot prize in Saturday's drawing by matching all five numbers plus the Powerball. The winning numbers were 3, 12, 31, 34, 51, and the Powerball number was 24.


This is the largest Powerball jackpot ever won in Colorado. The jackpot equals an estimated $54.9 million cash payout, the lottery said.


The winner has not yet come forward to claim their prize, Powerball said in a statement. The Kum & Go store will also receive a $50,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.


Another $1 million Powerball winning ticket was sold at the K&G Conoco store at 4175 W. 120 th Avenue in Broomfield. That winner has also not yet claimed their prize.


Colorado previously has had one Powerball jackpot winner. The group SEEP Financial won the $20 million prize in October of 2007. At that time, the starting jackpot for Powerball was $15 million.
