A former Microsoft manager is sentenced to Jail for 2 years

Inside trading lets one of the former manager of the Microsoft sentenced to jail. There were two people who did this inside trading and they managed to gain almost $415,000 from three traders. According to the U.S. district court it is found out that Brian Jorgenson , who was a senior manager at Microsoft, provided the information to Sean Stokke when Brian was working in the Treasury Group for the company.


Jorgenson admitted his illegal job in the court and said that he wanted to make more money to be richer. He also stated that he had been feeling guilty for his task. His partner Stokke was also sentenced to jail for 18 months.


Jenny Durkan the U.S. stated on this that there were so many insiders in the public companies in Western Washington and this sentence would work as a warning for them.
