Carbon is emitted beyond the estimation in building the Keystone XL pipeline

The Keystone XL pipeline project has been very much controversial from the very beginning. And now it gets an extra dimension by a report where it is stated that this project will emit four times carbon gases which was estimated earlier. It has just come out after a new study by the scientists.

This issue was the main talking point when this project was given approval by the Obama's administration. Then the president gave the permission as the project description convinced him that there would be no extra carbon emission which will be affecting the global warming.

The new study also shows that the global oil price will be pushed down marginally if there is increased supplies of petroleum. The study also said that global oil consumption will be increased 0.6 barrels for every barrel of increased production. But the horrible part is that it was estimated to emit 1.3 million to 27.4 million metric tons gases annually, whereas the new study assumes this as 100 million to 110 million.
