With yet another transcendent Thanksgiving performance, Calvin Johnson became the newest member of the 10,000-yard receiving club on Thursday.
The Detroit Lions official Twitter feed noted the feat:

It's not a completely exclusive group, as Megatron becomes the 43rd player-and ninth active-to join. But as The Oakland Press' Paula Pasche explained, Johnson's run to 10,000 has been historically efficient:

That's not surprising. Although it took the Georgia Tech product a season to truly make his mark, he has been one of the most dominant wideouts in the league for most of his eight seasons. Possessing an unreal combination of size, athleticism and route-running ability, he also holds the single-season record with 1,964 in 2012.
Injuries have slightly slowed Johnson in 2014, but his 109-yard, two-touchdown effort in the first half against the Chicago Bears proved he's still among the league's most unstoppable players.
Jerry Rice (22,895 yards) may be out of reach, but at just 29 years of age, Johnson has a good shot to finish his career as one of the most productive pass-catchers of all-time.
