Jennifer Lawrence takes over 'Late Show' desk, sings with host David Letterman
Jennifer Lawrence can add talk show host to her long list of talents.
The 24-year-old 'Hunger Games' actress took over the David Letterman's chair Wednesday while promoting the latest installment of the film's franchise, due out Nov. 21.
'This feels right this feels better,' Lawrence said during her takeover as she introduced an emotionally charged clip for the audience from 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' where she discovers Peta is alive.
Lawrence opened up on the late-night program that her 'biggest fear' is singing in front of other people which she reluctantly had to do while playing Katniss Everdeen.
'I have a mother-a Southern mother-who used to just tell me that I was amazing at everything, and I could do everything, but I can't, and this voice is like this tone deaf Amy Winehouse I had when I was like 8, and so I sang in front of the school 'cause I was like I can do that, I can do anything,' she explained.
Lawrence then talked about having to sing 'The Hanging Tree' in the upcoming 'Hunger' film, and she quipped to Letterman that 'That's where I felt like going that morning.'
'I still haven't heard it,' she said of the scene. ' I was like, 'Will you guys please get like Lorde to really sing it and I'll lip synch?' They said, 'No, it's really your voice.' So, I avoid (watching) that scene.'
Despite Lawrence hating to sing, Letterman gets the star to belt out a very off-key version of a 'Holly Jolly Christmas' with him.
The blond beauty goes on to tell the host about the highly anticipated flick and admitted even she gets confused which one she is talking about sometimes.
'We filmed them all at the same time so whenever I talk about the movie I have no idea what movie I am talking about,' she joked.
Fans shouldn't plan on JLaw taking any time off from the spotlight as she revealed she goes 'crazy' when she has free time.

'I took some time off, I lost my mind. It was awful. I don't even know how to explain how crazy I went or what happened,' she said.
'Just keep doing this until you die,' she added trying to get Letterman to rethink his upcoming retirement.
'You are made for work and we need you.'
Lawrence and Letterman also rehashed her stomach issues that she spoke out about the last time she was on the show.
'Josh [Hutcherson] and I were talking about getting colonics together,' she said. 'But we were like, 'Can we get a couples colonic? Like platonic-a platonic colonic?! Do you guys have those?''
Lawrence's exit from the 'Late Show' wasn't quite as fun as her appearance.
The actress was bombarded by screaming fans when she was signing autographs and had to be rushed away by her security.
She handled the crazed crowd with stride as she kept her cool during the chaos.
