Penguins rally to win against Bruins
Thirty-two seconds into overtime, Evgeni Malkin beat Tuukka Rask to give the Penguins a 3-2 win over the Bruins Monday night at TD Garden. Malkin capped off a three-on-two rush with his second goal of the night.
The Bruins tied the game at 1-1 at 1:43 of the second. The power line of Milan Lucic, Carl Soderberg, and Loui Eriksson advanced rapidly up the ice. Soderberg gave the puck to Eriksson, who pulled Olli Maatta and Christian Ehrhoff with him. With nobody home in front, Eriksson dished out to Lucic for an easy tap-in.

Twenty-eight seconds later, the Bruins pulled ahead. After taking a D-to-D pass from Dougie Hamilton, Joe Morrow loaded up from the left point. Morrow fired the puck through a Gregory Campbell screen and it sailed over Marc-Andre Fleury's glove. It was Morrow's first NHL goal.
Pittsburgh tied the game with a power-play goal at 9:42. With Patrice Bergeron in the box for hooking, Malkin snapped a wrister through Rask from the left circle.
The Bruins thought they reclaimed the lead at 10:53. Again, it was Soderberg's line doing the damage, with Lucic providing strong middle drive. Fleury got a piece of Lucic's tip, but the puck popped up, off Soderberg's glove, and over the line before the net got knocked off. Video replay showed that Soderberg intentionally batted in the puck.
The Penguins scored the night's first goal at 3:33 of the opening period. Rask kicked out a Craig Adams slap shot. But Rask, who had been scrambling, couldn't steer the puck out of danger. Sidney Crosby slipped Dennis Seidenberg's coverage, jumped on the loose puck, and swatted it past Rask to give Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead.
The Bruins believed they had tied the game at 10:00. Bergeron tipped a Kevan Miller pass off Fleury's left pad. The puck popped into the air, and Bergeron batted it over Fleury's left shoulder and into the net. Video replay showed, however, that Bergeron had hit the puck with a high stick.
