Alex Killorn and Ondrej Palat scored for the Lightning, and Evgeni Nabokov had 31 saves.
Clutterbuck tied the score at 1-1 with a short-handed goal 39 seconds into the second period. SABRES 4, SHARKS 1 Brian Gionta had two goals and an assist in leading Buffalo to a win at home over San Jose in front of a sparse, snowstorm-depleted crowd.

Jhonas Enroth stopped 20 shots over the final two periods after replacing the starter Michal Neuvirth, who sustained a lower-body injury in the first period.
Buffalo also won consecutive games for the first time since a three-game streak late last February.
The game was played in front of an estimated crowd of about 6,200 on a day when a severe lake-effect snowstorm dumped more than four feet of snow in the area.
