WATCH: Lightning F Ryan Callahan scores in return to New York
By Adam Gretz | Hockey writer
For the first time since last year's deadline day trade that sent him to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Martin St. Louis, Ryan Callahan was playing in New York as a visiting player on Monday night.
It did not take him long to make an impact and get on the board against his old team.
With the Lightning on the powerplay and already up 1-0 late in the first period, Callahan found himself wide open in front of the net after getting away from Dan Girardi and was able able to score his seventh goal of the season, tapping the puck into a wide open net.
Also featured: Some outstanding stick work from Steven Stamkos to dangle through traffic and make a wonderful pass to set up Callahan.
