Dancing with the Stars: Technical Problems Skew Results

It was a night of exciting performances, positive reviews from the judges and a pair of big twists for the eight remaining couples on Dancing with the Stars Monday night.
First, the pairs had to perform in an improvisational switch-up challenge, which required them to show off their ability to transition seamlessly while dancing to music that suddenly changed.
Then, at elimination time, there was an even bigger twist that one no one - not even producers - had seen coming.

All couples are safe! After hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet revealed that Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke and Bill Engvall and Emma Slater were the bottom two, they announced that both pairs were safe.
'Last week, at the end of the show we had a technical problem,' Bergeron explained. 'The incorrect phone numbers were shown. And they have resulted in some votes accidentally cast for the wrong couple. So, in fairness we have decided to discard all the viewer votes and not eliminate anyone this week.'
The announcement was met with pure jubilation in the ballroom.
Apart from the lucky couples who benefitted from the non-elimination, Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy were particularly happy after earning the first perfect score of the season for their cha cha.
Tied with them atop the leaderboard with 32 points were Amber Riley and Derek Hough, who scored an extra four points in the second round of the switch-up challenge.
Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff also won their round of the switch-up challenge but it wasn't enough to make up for a lackluster waltz to the Game of Thrones theme song earlier in the night. They earned 27 points all together.
Here's how the entire leaderboard stacked up:
Elizabeth and Val - 32 points Amber and Derek - 32 points Brant and Peta - 31 points Nicole and Sasha - 30 points Leah and Tony - 28 points Jack and Cheryl - 27 points Corbin and Karina - 27 points Bill and Emma - 24 points
