David Letterman announces he's retiring from 'Late Show' in 2015

David Letterman has announced his plans to retire in 2015.


The late night talk show host delivered the news during a taping of CBS' 'Late Show' on Thursday.

By the time he officially signs off, Letterman will have hosted 'Late Show' for 22 years. He previously served as the host of NBC's 'Late Night' for 11 years before being famously bumped for Johnny Carson's 'The Tonight Show.'
