Zack Snyder to direct 'Justice League' movie

'Superman vs Batman' director will helm next feature in 'Man Of Steel' series

Zack Synder will direct a Justice League movie, it has been confirmed. http://ift.tt/1kbIvVx Synder, who directed Man Of Steel, in which British actor Henry Cavill took on the role of Superman, will direct the film once he has wrapped up work on Batman Vs Superman, reports Wall Street Journal. Cavill is expected to return to the film, as are Ben Affleck's Batman and Wonderwoman actress Gal Gadot. 'It will be a further expansion of this universe,' said Warner Bros president of worldwide production Greg Silverman. 'Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League.' The film is seen as Warner Bros attempts at rivalling Disney and Marvel's comic book franchise. The studio recently cast little known actor Ray Fisher in the role of Cyborg, who is expected to appear in Justice League following a cameo in Batman Vs Superman while Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern could also appear. Warners' president of worldwide marketing Sur Kroll has also stated that a standalone Wonder Woman film could be made, script depending. 'That is our hope,' says Kroll. 'With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.' A Justice League movie to be directed by George Miller nearly went into production in 2008 but was scrapped.
