Replacing Ryan Zimmerman

Ryan Zimmerman could be looking at missed time. (USATSI)Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is already hurt. After sailing a throw in Saturday's game, Zimmerman had to be removed due to shoulder pain. The team sent him for a MRI Sunday, and while the results have yet to come in, things don't look promising. Zimmerman had surgery to repair the shoulder in November 2012, and said this is the worst it has felt since the procedure. If Zimmerman does find his way to the disabled list, Fantasy owners are going to have to scramble to find an adequate replacement.
The Obvious
The following players are owned in over 75 percent of CBSSports.com leagues. If they happen to still be out there in your league, pick them up now.
Of the bunch, Bogaerts is probably the best option. He's also the least available, and is owned in over 90 percent of leagues. Both Frazier and Lawrie have question marks, but Frazier has gotten off to a nice start. Lawrie has slumped to begin the year, but he'll play, and still has some potential. The same can be said for Moustakas. Rendon actually isn't eligible at third in most leagues yet. But with Zimmerman out, he'll gain third base eligibility next week. He and Bogaerts are the most desirable players here, so if you can cope for a week, Rendon is worth a shot.
The following players are owned in about 50 percent of CBSSports.com leagues. There's a good chance these are the best available guys for most of the owners looking to replace Zimmerman.
The two names that stick out here are Dominguez and Johnson. Dominguez can at least provide power, though he's gotten off to a terrible start. While last season was fluky for Johnson, he should at least provide a nice average. McGehee has been dominant since returning from Japan. You could ride out his hot streak for now. He's been a useful Fantasy asset in the past, but there's a reason he didn't play in MLB last year. Freese is another guy who has put together a successful year in the past, but he's started slow.
The following players should be available unless you play in a really deep league.
There's not much to like here. Gillaspie has started off hot, and is hitting third for the White Sox, but there's very little upside. Uribe is capable of solid production, but he's not exactly dependable. Plouffe has hit well, and could be an option if you're hoping for a breakout. Asche did all of his damage during the first game of the year.
