The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences released the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations Thursday, which included a few high-profile selections and snubs.
The biggest surprise? Ellen DeGeneres failed to earn a nomination in the outstanding talk show host category. Instead, nominees include Dr. Mehmet Oz, Katie Couric, Rachael Ray, the hosts of The Talk ( Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood) and the hosts of The View (Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd and a retiring Barbara Walters).
However, The Ellen Degeneres Show did earn a nomination in the outstanding talk show/entertainment category, alongside Live! with Kelly and Michael, Rachael Ray, The Talk and The View.
Nominees in the outstanding talk show/informative category include The Chew, The Dr. Oz Show, Dr. Phil and Steve Harvey.
Soap operas that earned a outstanding drama series nod include The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless.
The winners will be revealed at the Daytime Emmy Awards on June 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
