Report: Half of American adults were hacked this year
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - According to a new report, hackers have accessed the personal information of 110 million Americans in the last 12 months, which is roughly half of nation's adult population.
Research by the Ponemon Institute says up to 432 million accounts were hacked but the exact number is hard to tell.
Each record includes your name, debit or credit card, email, phone number, birthday, password, security questions and physical address.
The exact number of people affected is not known because of certain company's transparency rules.
