Brittny Gastineau Seen With Black Eye After Physical Altercation

Brittny Gastineau was spotted Tuesday in Los Angeles with a massive black eye after getting into a physical altercation with Marquis Lewis, a famous street artist who goes by the name Retna, Us Weekly reports.

In an interview with the magazine, Lewis' attorney Michael Goldstein explains that the artist checked into the London Hotel in West Hollywood on Tuesday, June 3, after undergoing major reconstructive knee surgery on Monday, June 2.

'Brittny visited him last Tuesday, the day he checked in,' Goldstein said. 'We don't know exactly what happened but [Lewis]...was not the aggressor.'

Retna's lawyer went on to refute reports that the artist attacked Kim Kardashian's BFF unprovoked. 'Look, the guy was down and out--he had just had surgery--he was debilitated, lying in bed,' he told the magazine.

Goldstein added that the artist even needed the assistance of crutches and a wheelchair to move about on his own. As for reports claiming that the street artist was dating the reality TV star and model, Goldstein mentions, 'I don't know what the nature of their relationship was...but they were not dating at the time.'

Goldstein notes that Retna will not be pressing charges, adding that the artist holds no 'ill will' towards Gastineau.

'He just wants to respect her privacy and he holds no ill will towards her and he chose not to get the police involved, even though he sustained injuries to his face, hand and ear,' the laywer tells the magazine.

As for Gastineau, the brunette beauty was spotted out to dinner at both Mr. Chow and Craig's in Los Angeles following the incident.

'Ms. Gastineau is still texting Mr. Lewis to this day,' the layer continues. 'She continues to send him text messages and to call him, regularly.'

Gastineau declined requests for comment.
