Nicki Minaj Confirms She's Still Into Chainmail With BET Awards Performance ...

If you watched, like, one minute of the BET Awards Red Carpet coverage, you know it's hot in L.A. The best way to cool down if you're too hot? To not wear a shirt! Just ask Nicki Minaj -she performed at the show in a shirt (IDK if that's what to call it, TBH) made from gold chains. Her hair was long, wavy, and strategically placed. When riding a motorcycle inside you have to take precautions, OK? This is a PG-rated show.
The gold chainmail shirt continues a small streak of Nicki wearing metal tops. First, there was the gold jacket from her 'Lookin' A** N****' music video. Then, of course, there was this shining armor number she wore over her Hot 97 Summer Jam pasties.
On her bottom half, though, Nicki wore something a little less familiar: a skirt covered with leather tassels. Also, patterned tights and gladiator sandals. DOUBLE also, she hung out under a giant mushroom with a human-sized bunny. Oh, what, you don't get the reference? Neither do I, but any excuse to look at this GIF of a bunny smoking a cigarette is fine by me.
Nicki continues to blend her old and new ~lewks~-while her outfit was more akin to past years' over-the-top Nicki, her beauty game was simple. Will this combo continue all summer? We can hope!
