LaBeouf harassed a homeless man before 'Cabaret'

He must have wanted fries with that super-sized meltdown.

Troublemaking actor Shia LaBeouf chased after a homeless man - demanding he hand over a McDonald's bag in Times Square - a few hours before he went beserk at the Broadway musical 'Cabaret' reports The New York Post. 'He really wanted whatever was in that bag. He had so much focus ... If there were French fries in the bag, maybe he really wanted to eat them, ' a witness said.

He added, 'He was dodging people and yelling, 'Yo, come on!' ... He was on a mission. It was so bizarre.'

LaBeouf's fry-tening public food grab was just a prelude to a far weirder meltdown to come.

Within a half-hour, witnesses alleged, the actor was smoking a joint and slapping star Alan Cumming on the bottom from his aisle seat at the Studio 54 theater.

'Alan was in character and was very professional,' says an eyewitness. 'He knew not to engage, and he carried on walking.'

LaBoeouf created a huge disturbance when co-star Michelle Williams sang her first-act solo, 'I Don't Care Much,'

'He fell out of his chair, and sent a few other chairs crashing to the ground during Michelle's solo,' a witness said.

'It was bizarre - he was so crazy, it was making us all nervous,' said another witness.

A security guard at the theater told police that LaBeouf stood up in the middle of the performance and began yelling at actors onstage - prompting stunned theater-goers to turn around and stare, according to a criminal complaint. The show's management made the decision to have 'The Transformers' star removed during intermission because it would have been even more disruptive to do so during the show.

Once in custody, he shouted 'F-k you' at cops and tried to spit at them, sources said. 'This is f-ing bulls-t,' he railed. 'Do you know my life? Do you know who the f- I am? Do you know who I am?' the complaint against him states.

He was taken to a holding cell at Midtown North where he spent the night. Police sources claim the odd behavior continued when the star began singing a made-up hip-hop song rapping, 'I want to go out. I want to go out.'

LaBeouf was arraigned - still in his ripped blue T-shirt - Friday morning at Midtown Community Court before Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Felicia Mennin, with a public defender at his side.

Prosecutors asked for $2,500 bail, but the judge ordered him released on his own recognizance.

According to the Post LaBeouf had imbibed at least four strawberry margaritas that afternoon while watching the World CupLaBeouf at the bar at Iguana on West 54th Street.

The manager claims that the actor behaved perfectly signing a few autographs, poing for pictures and even holding open the door for a woman with a stroller. But by 6.20 pm eyewitnesses saw him dodging pedestrians while chasing the homeless man.

The actor was charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment.

He declined to comment afterward.

On Friday morning, Cumming made fun about the ordeal, tweeting, '@Cabaret_Musical Stage Manager last night at intermission : This is your places call and Shia Leboeuf has left the building in handcuffs.'
