Harrison Ford Injured on Star Wars: Episode VII Set

Harrison Ford got hurt at work on Thursday.
Disney told E! News in a statement that the 71-year-old actor 'sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.'
A source tells the Hollywood Reporter (who was first to report the news of Ford's injury) that the actor 'was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft that his character pilots in the original films, and looks to be making a return in the sequel.'

Ford is reprising his role as Han Solo in the upcoming J.J. Abrams-helmed flick, along with other original cast members including Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. Newcomers, including Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie are also signed on for the highly-anticipated flick.
Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters Dec. 18, 2015. Let's hope Ford recovers quickly from his injury and can get right back to work!
